Introduction of the evening program
In the morning, there will be a late breakfast/brunch. We’ll have a nice, relaxed day at the venue.
There is a sauna and a hot tub. You can relax by the lake, take a swim, or even explore with a rowboat.
There is space to play badminton and soccer, and there is also a playground for the children.
For the adventurous, there are beautiful hiking trails in the surrounding area.
In the evening, we will provide food and simple drinks. One extra overnight stay is also included.
26 July
Checkout is on Sunday at 12:00, which is also when the bus to Vilnius will depart.
If you would like to attend the second day and overnight stay, we kindly ask for a contribution of €60 per adult to cover the food and drinks on that day.
Transport
The wedding venue is located about 80 kilometers from the capital, Vilnius.
We will arrange a coach to take you there and back to Vilnius.
The current bus schedule is as follows:
24/07 Departure from Vilnius Central Bus Station
25/07 (~02:00) Return to Vilnius Central Bus Station
26/07 Return to Vilnius Central Bus Station
If many people need to catch a flight on Sunday, we may move the departure to an earlier time. Please let us know in the comments section of the RSVP.
Accommodation
There is accommodation at the wedding venue for approximately 60 people. Additionally, we have booked a second accommodation about 4 km away for around 40 more people.
The rooms vary greatly in size, from ten-person rooms to double rooms. We will try to arrange the sleeping assignments as best as possible, so that parents with young children have a bit more privacy. The party people will likely end up in the “party rooms” 😉.
The accommodation is fully provided by us.
Dress code
Casual chic on the day of the ceremony: for the ladies, think of a nice dress, and for the gentlemen, a shirt or suit; a tie is optional. Better leave your stilettos at home, as some paths are unpaved. If you wear white, Vika might (and probably will 😉) give you a stern look.
On the second day, wear whatever makes you comfortable and don’t forget your swimwear!
Because the weather in Lithuania can be just as unpredictable as in the Netherlands, it’s smart to dress like an onion 😉: wear multiple layers so you can adjust your outfit to temperatures that can range from 18 to 30 degrees Celsius.
Think a jacket might be too warm for summer? You might actually be glad you brought it if the weekend doesn’t bring us tropical temperatures..
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift for us, and we expect absolutely nothing. If you would still like to give something, a contribution is very welcome, especially with our upcoming home renovation in mind. You can contribute to Vika’s “Mudroom” (aka the luxury shoe closet) or to Chris’s “Technical Room” (aka the spot where he can distill his liqueurs).
Prefer to give a physical gift? We’ll soon post a list of suggestions here. If you have a large gift, we kindly ask that you give it in the Netherlands rather than in Lithuania, so it doesn’t have to travel back and forth unnecessarily (@Jorgen, leave your palm tree at home!). Small gifts can be brought to Lithuania without any problem, as we will be taking the car ourselves.
